A year ago, Dean Potter free soloed the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, Utah's de facto state rock. His ascent put a bee in the bonnet of Utah and park officials. You know the rest.
　

FM TECH DRAGON

THE DRAGON IS CRAZY: its sole is tensioned from toe to heel, but left loose under the arch. The flap in the sole seemed gimmicky, but I couldn't tell if it was the sole design or the steeply downturned toe, ehich turns your feet into claws, that made the shoe climb so well.
